Refund, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Effective Date: 20 September 2026

This Policy applies to all mentorship services purchased through CALL DAKM MENTORS PRIVATE LIMITED ("Platform"), including audio, video and chat mentorship, whether offered on a pay-per-minute, pay-per-session, package or other basis.

By booking or paying for a service, the User/Mentee agrees to this Policy and the Platform's applicable Terms & Conditions.

1. Rescheduling First

The Platform's preferred resolution for a genuine cancellation, interruption or service issue is:

Reschedule → Change Mentor → Replacement Session → Platform Credit → Refund only if eligible.

A refund is not automatic merely because a User requests cancellation. The applicable remedy will depend on the circumstances, booking terms, service already delivered and applicable law.

2. Cancellation by Mentee

Users should cancel or reschedule as early as possible.

Unless different terms are displayed at booking:

  • More than 24 hours before session: rescheduling, Mentor change or Platform Credit will generally be preferred; an eligible refund may be considered.
  • Within 24 hours: rescheduling or Platform Credit will generally be preferred and monetary refunds may be restricted.
  • After session commencement: cancellation is generally not permitted merely due to change of mind.
  • No-Show: generally neither refund nor rescheduling.
  • Repeated/last-minute cancellations: may result in restrictions on future bookings or promotional benefits.

3. Rescheduling

Users should use rescheduling instead of cancellation wherever possible.

  • Subject to Mentor availability, a booking may ordinarily be rescheduled once without an additional administrative charge.
  • Rescheduling may involve a different date, time or Mentor and is always subject to availability.
  • Repeated, last-minute or abusive rescheduling requests may be restricted.

4. Mentor Cancellation / Unavailability

If a Mentor cancels, becomes unavailable or cannot provide the booked service, the Platform may offer:

  • rescheduling with the same Mentor;
  • another suitable Mentor;
  • replacement session;
  • Platform Credit; or
  • an eligible refund.

The Platform will generally attempt an alternative service before issuing a monetary refund where reasonably possible.

5. Platform Cancellation

If the Platform cancels or cannot materially provide a confirmed service due to operational, technical, security, regulatory or other circumstances, it may offer rescheduling, replacement service, Platform Credit or an eligible refund.

6. Technical / Network Problems

Users are responsible for having a reasonably suitable device, internet connection, application/browser, microphone and camera where required.

  • User-side problem: Refund is not automatic. Rescheduling or Platform Credit may be offered where reasonably appropriate.
  • Mentor/Platform-side material failure: The Platform may provide reconnection, additional time, rescheduling, replacement service, Platform Credit or an eligible refund.

Where possible, the Platform's technical/session records may be used to determine what occurred.

7. Late Arrival

  • If a User joins late, the session may still end at its originally scheduled time.
  • Late arrival does not automatically create an entitlement to an extension or refund.
  • Where reasonably possible, rescheduling may be offered.

8. Pay-Per-Minute Services

  • For pay-per-minute services, charges may be based on the duration recorded by the Platform's system.
  • Minutes actually consumed are generally non-refundable.
  • If a material technical or Platform-side failure causes incorrect charging or prevents delivery, the affected amount/time may be reviewed for adjustment, credit, rescheduling or refund.

9. Pay-Per-Session Services

  • For pay-per-session services, the Mentor's time may be specifically reserved for the User.
  • Late cancellation, No-Show or failure to participate may therefore result in no monetary refund, subject to applicable law.
  • Rescheduling, Mentor replacement or Platform Credit may be offered where appropriate.

10. Refunds

A monetary refund may be considered for:

  • duplicate payment;
  • verified overcharging;
  • payment received but booking/service not created due to a Platform/payment error;
  • material non-delivery of the purchased service;
  • material Mentor/Platform failure where reasonable replacement is unavailable;
  • eligible failed transactions; or
  • any other situation where required under applicable law.

Refunds are subject to transaction and service verification.

11. Generally Non-Refundable Situations

Subject to applicable law, monetary refunds will generally not be provided merely because the User:

  • changed their mind;
  • selected the wrong Mentor/date/time;
  • failed to attend;
  • arrived late;
  • had a personal device or internet problem;
  • failed to cancel in time;
  • disagreed with a Mentor's opinion or guidance after receiving the service; or
  • did not achieve the personal, career, academic, financial, relationship or other outcome expected from mentorship.

12. Platform Credit / Replacement Mentor

Where appropriate, the Platform may provide account credit or a replacement Mentor/session instead of a monetary refund.

Platform Credit may have validity and usage conditions disclosed when issued and will not be exchangeable for cash except where required by applicable law.

13. Packages / Multiple Sessions

For packages or bundles:

  • completed/consumed sessions are generally non-refundable;
  • unused sessions may be rescheduled or otherwise addressed according to the applicable package terms;
  • promotional discounts may be recalculated where applicable; and
  • any eligible refund may be adjusted for services already consumed.

14. Promotional / Discounted Services

Coupons, promotional offers, introductory sessions and discounted packages may have additional cancellation/refund conditions displayed at the time of purchase.

Such conditions will apply subject to applicable law.

15. Disputes About Mentorship Quality

Mentorship does not guarantee a particular personal, professional, academic, financial, relationship or other outcome.

Dissatisfaction with an opinion, suggestion or expected outcome does not automatically establish entitlement to a refund if the purchased service was delivered.

Complaints involving harassment, misconduct, fraud, safety concerns or serious service failures may be separately investigated under the Platform's grievance process.

16. Failed / Duplicate Payments

If a payment is pending, failed or debited but the booking is not confirmed, the Platform may first verify/reconcile the transaction with the relevant payment service provider.

Duplicate payments may be refunded after verification.

17. Refund Requests

Users should raise refund, cancellation, rescheduling or technical complaints as soon as reasonably possible.

Requests should include, where available:

Booking ID + Transaction ID + registered contact details + brief reason + supporting evidence.

The Platform may review booking records, payment records, session duration, timestamps, technical logs and relevant communications.

18. Chargeback / Payment Disputes

Users are encouraged to contact the Platform first regarding genuine payment or service issues so that the matter can be investigated and resolved where possible.

The Platform may provide relevant transaction and service records to the applicable payment service provider, bank, card network or authorised entity in connection with a dispute or chargeback.

19. Misuse

Repeated or suspicious refund requests, No-Shows, cancellations, chargebacks or other misuse may result in additional verification, restriction of promotional benefits, suspension or restriction of account functionality, or other lawful action.

20. Force Majeure / Exceptional Events

For events beyond reasonable control, including major technical outages, telecommunications failures, natural disasters, governmental restrictions or other exceptional circumstances, the Platform may provide rescheduling, replacement service, Platform Credit or another reasonable remedy.

21. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will normally be initiated through the original payment method/payment service provider.
  • Actual credit time may depend upon the bank, payment gateway, card network, UPI system or other intermediary.
  • The Platform is not responsible for delays caused solely by external payment intermediaries.

22. Mandatory Legal Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any consumer right, remedy or obligation that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law.

Where mandatory law conflicts with this Policy, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail.
